Cangshan Cutlery has debuted its Everest line of cutlery, exclusively at Crate & Barrel.
The new line of knives was designed with input from Cangshan ambassador chef Thomas Keller. The knives feature a sleek, modern aesthetic with the knife handle’s slim profile emphasizing the simple, smooth lines of the knives, the company noted.
A singular mosaic rivet offsets the distinct handle. A uniquely tapered tang is said to make each knife comfortable and well balanced for precise cutting.
Every blade goes through the company’s six-stage ULTRA6 heat treatment which Cangshan said brings out the best qualities of each steel. The blades have a sharp 16-degree edge, yet are durable enough to keep that sharp edge during heavy kitchen use.
The knives are available with either a black or white handle and come in a variety of sets including a 3-piece combo with Tai knife block; 6-piece combo with Tai knife block; and 4-piece steak knife sets.
