I have small hands. And I'm short. So counters are too high for me to get good strength for a downward motion. A sharp knife that does not slide in my hand is a must have and this set is the first set in 45 years of marriage that I have LOVED! I absolutely love the textured handle and the incredibly sharp and durable edge. Winner! HUGE WINNER!!

Unique serrations cut both very soft and hard foods well.
Handle feels good in hand
Narrow tip on blade allows tight turns and intricate cuts.
