I needed a new knife after my old 8" knife broke after dropping it on the floor, had it for 30 years so cannot complain. For me the 8" chef knife is for cutting thick items so I wanted a full bolster down through the heel to have a stiff spine. This knife had that with very hard steal and a reasonable price for the quality. The balance could be a bit better and I like a spine that is less convex then this one, but really very small issues. Very happy with it

Beautiful quality at a great price. This knife feels well balanced in the hand and features some of the best Swedish steel for excellent edge retention. Another winner from Cangshan.

I purchased the BBQ set available at Costco and fell in love with the design. I've since then filled out the set from them directly, and couldn't be happier with the performance. Excellent edge retention, great weight, and overall amazing. If I had any critique at all, it would be to make the knives available without the wooden sheath, or have an option to swap for the felt lined instead. I dont see myself buying anything other than Cangshan in the future.
